Workshop Overview: With the winter maintenance season right around the corner, now is the perfect time to train and/or refresh road crews on the importance of implementing winter maintenance best practices. This training will expand your knowledge of sustainable winter maintenance best practices and increase your understanding of various snow and ice control techniques. The training will also focus on operational lessons learned, the use of equipment and anti-icing/deicing products, and the science behind developing an environmentally sound and sustainable anti-icing/deicing program. The implementation of best practices will make your agency more efficient and effective and allow you to do more with less. We will also discuss Gravel Road Maintenance and repair during the second part of the day. This will cover all aspects of gravel roads.
